New study group of Thich Nhat Hanh’s The Path of Emancipation: Dharma Talks from a 21 Day Retreat.
This is an ongoing group lead by Regina Gallero.
Recently, we had a wonderfully inspiring experience watching videos of Thich Nhat Hahn’s dharma talks. The study of this book is a sort of continuation of that experience. We have an opportunity to enjoy and learn from the in-depth teaching of a 21 day retreat. In addition to the dharma talks there are question and answer sessions. These are the topics from the table of contents:
Dwellling in the Here and the Now
Enjoying our Breathing
Embracing our Body
Experiencing our Body
Embracing our Feelings
Transformation at the Base
Learning True Love
Practicing the Three Dharma Seals
Transforming our Suffering
Throwing Away our Wrong Perceptions
Happiness Is Not an Individual Matter
Practicing the Six Paramitas
Discourses on the Full Awareness of Breathing
The Five Mindfulness Trainings
We will meet on Fridays from 7 to 8:30 at the Center on Park Pl beginning on June 28. NOTE: We will not meet on Friday July 19 because of the Day of Mindfulness in Racine the following day.
I look forward to this new shared experience.
