How To Teach Meditation Class

A special short course intended for people who currently teach basic “mindfulness of breath” to others. We will review classic and contemporary instructions from the Buddhist tradition, discuss how to balance empathy and technical guidance in working with learners, and share experiences about teaching in different settings (one-on-one, retreats, prison work), etc. No charge, but donations accepted. A sourcebook of published meditation instructions will be provided.

Taught by Paul Brodwin and Jeane Lowry at the East side center,  1922 E. Park Place.

Dates: Tuesday evenings, May 27th, June 3 and June 10, 2014. Time 6:30-8:30 pm.

For more information, contact brodwin@uwm.edu .
