Renewal is a path breaking film that gives us, for the first time, stories of the emerging movement of religious environmentalism across the United States. From within Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim and other faith-based traditions, men, women and children are finding ways to become caretakers of the Earth. Evangelical Christians are fighting mountaintop removal, a coal mining process that is decimating Appalachia. Muslims are supporting sustainable farming. Jews are helping children experience the bond between nature and spirituality. Renewal is the remarkable story of this religious-environmental movement.
